Supporting growth and sustainability of trans and gender diverse peer support across Victoria. Supported by the Victorian Government.
TransQTs Peer Support is a peer mentoring program for trans and gender diverse outdoors enthusiasts to access the mental health and wellbeing benefits of rock climbing and nature based activities while building community connection.
Participants are either mentees (new to climbing) or mentors (already consider themselves climbers).
TransQTs Peer Support program coordinators Riley (they/them) and Louie (he/him) organise monthly catch ups for the whole group to learn technical skills, dive into the history of climbing and the relationship to Indigenous land and people and learn from role models in the community.
