Inside Out LGBTIQ+ Prisoner Solidarity Network

Inside Out is a Melbourne-based and volunteer-run grassroots group, seeking to build a community of LGBTIQ+ peers both inside and outside prisons. As incarceration is a particularly isolating and disempowering experience for LGBTIQ+ people, we aim to build community across the walls, amplifying the voices of prisoners and providing access to information, community news and resources.

Since 2016 we have produced a quarterly newsletter with content by and for LGBTIQ+ folks, including sistergirls and brotherboys, who are incarcerated in prisons around the country. This includes artwork, poetry, letters and articles by prisoners, as well as resources and news from the outside LGBTIQ+ community in Australia and globally.
