Transgender Victoria Expands Affirmation Station, Creating Australia's First Integrated Gender Affirmation And Support Centre
Transgender Victoria (TGV) has announced an expansion of Affirmation Station, Melbourne's beloved trans-led community hub and op shop. The move to a larger, safer and more accessible location will enable TGV to significantly enhance its support for transgender, gender diverse, and non-binary (TGD) communities.
In today's climate, where trans identities are being targeted and erased, Transgender Victoria remains unwavering in its commitment to supporting TGD communities. The need for safe and affirming spaces like Affirmation Station is more critical than ever before.
The expansion will see Affirmation Station transformed into Australia's first Integrated Gender Affirmation and Support Centre – a dedicated hub for social affirmation, creative therapies, events, and essential services. This expansion marks a significant milestone in TGV's commitment to providing vital resources and support to TGD individuals in Victoria.
