Each year, November sees a string of significant trans-centric observances, such as Trans Parent Day, Trans Awareness Week and Trans Day of Remembrance. In 2024, Transgender Victoria and other organisations across Victoria are coming together for the very first Trans Month: a month-long program of trans-centric events to celebrate, honour and remember our transgender, gender diverse and non-binary communities.
With the theme Our Strength, Our Joy, Ourselves, we invite our transgender, gender diverse, and non-binary (TGD) communities to come together in a powerful affirmation of our identities, experiences, and collective resilience.
We have put together this comprehensive guide to help you plan your Trans Month.
