What stands out most to me about my journey to pride is my resilience, both within myself and in the community that I see around me. I never thought I’d be nearing my 40th birthday and finding my voice, having confidence for the first time. I feel the most comfortable in my own skin when I’m volunteering and working with other rural gender diverse folk and community members. Giving back brings more joy than I can express. I have felt the most at home within the TGD community – where I always feel I can truly just let my guards down and be myself without justification."
